Slow Cooker Whole Cauliflower
Our favorite way to prepare cauliflower is simply roasted in the oven with olive oil, salt, and pepper. But if you’ve wondered if you can make a Slow Cooker Whole Cauliflower, the answer is yes. The recipes below are all easy to make.
Slow Cooker Whole Cauliflower
To prepare the cauliflower: Discard the outer leaves, cut off the bottom of the stem and any leaves close to the stem. Make sure to leave the whole head intact without cutting through any of the florets.
Ingredients
1 whole cauliflower, washed and trimmed (see above)
4 garlic cloves, minced
4 tablespoons olive oil
1 lemon, juiced and zested
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon sage, finely chopped (optional)
Instructions
Place the whole cauliflower in slow cooker.
Mix the remaining ingredients together in a bowl. Pour over the cauliflower.
Cover and cook for 3-4 hours on HIGH or 4-5 hours on LOW, or until tender. Remove the cauliflower and let it cool a bit. Cut the cauliflower into florets or wedges. Spoon the sauce from the slow cooker over the pieces. Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley if desired.
